James Schelli, Jr. is a graduate of the University of Illinois - Chicago receiving his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting in 1981.  Mr. Schelli graduated from IIT/Chicago Kent College of Law, with honors, in June of 1984.  In 1990, Mr. Schelli received his Certified Public Accountant certificate.  

Mr. Schelli was employed from 1984 until 1991 with Arthur Andersen & Company in their Corporate Tax Department.  In November of 1991 Mr. Schelli became a Partner in the Law Firm of Webster & Schelli.  Mr. Schell’s areas of practice include closely held corporations, partnerships, Limited Liability Companies and sole proprietors.  He regularly consults with individuals and families on topics such as estate planning, business succession plans, estate and income taxes, probate, real estate transactions and debt counseling.  Mr. Schelli has authored articles on related topics such as the use of Family Limited Partnerships, the Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax and Business Succession Planning and is a frequent speaker at financial planning, estate and business planning seminars.
